Editorial policy: how CoinCorner guides are written and reviewed

Every CoinCorner guide is written to a brief, checked claim by claim against primary sources, reviewed by compliance before publication and dated; where AI tools help with drafting, a named person fact-checks and approves the text before it goes live.

Who writes and who reviews

Guides are written by the CoinCorner Research Team and reviewed by the Head of Compliance before they go live. These roles are placeholders: before publication each guide must name its author and its reviewer, each with a profile page that sets out their role and qualifications.

Sources and fact-checking

Primary sources come first: regulators, legislation, technical specifications and CoinCorner's own terms and product pages.

  • Every page has a fact-check log: the claim, the source, the date it was read and who checked it.
  • Figures carry the date they were read. A fact that cannot be confirmed is left out or marked for confirmation.
  • Guides make no price predictions and no claims about performance or returns.
  • Guides are for information only and are not investment advice.

Review dates and corrections

Pages about fees, tax and regulation have their data checked every 30 days and get a full editorial review every 90 days. Evergreen explainers are reviewed at least every 12 months. The page on registrations is updated within 30 days of any change of status.

The date on a page changes only when its content changes. When a mistake is fixed, the page carries a visible note with the date and what was corrected, and numbers are never edited silently. To report an error, name the page and the sentence.

How we make money and conflicts of interest

CoinCorner earns fees from its own services, such as Checkout payments and Vault custody; the fees page shows how CoinCorner charges. Guides may mention those services, and they say so when they do. No one can pay to be included in a guide. The company page says more about CoinCorner.

Use of AI

AI tools may help with research notes and first drafts. Any AI-assisted text, title, meta description, structured data or image alt text is fact-checked by hand and approved by a named person before publication, and the reviewer's name and the date are recorded for each page. AI is never used to generate pages at scale. Where automation played a material part in a page, the page says how.

The pages of this prototype were drafted with AI assistance. Their role names and every fact marked for confirmation must be replaced or confirmed by a named person at CoinCorner before publication.
